Autism-Europe seeks testimonies to illustrate through lived experiences:

– the challenges faced by autistic people in relation to employment;
– how they have used their strengths and passion to gain successful employment in various fields;
– the types of reasonable accommodation they may need (i.e. support or adaptation of the environment, for example) and how it can be successfully provided by employers.

Testimonies should be submitted until February 15th 2020 and can be sent anonymously.

The testimonies can come directly from people on the autism spectrum, their relatives as well as employers of autistic people or any other interested stakeholders. They should be brief, maximum 500 words, and possibly with relevant pictures and images attached.

Testimonies can be sent to Autism-Europe by email or submitted online via our online form: https://forms.gle/Sotn7bZUkz5YJqYbA

Don’t hesitate to send us pictures to illustrate your testimony at: [email protected]

Testimonies should be provided preferably in English, French, German, Dutch or Spanish. Testimonies in other languages will be processed with the support of automated translation.

What is it for?

hese testimonies will be used in the context of Autism-Europe’s campaign 2020-2021, “I can learn, I can work”. They might notably be used on social media.

We want to raise awareness of how people on the autism spectrum can access employment and highlight good practices, but also the barriers they face.

This 2-year campaign will be implemented from March 2020 until the end of 2021. The campaign materials and activities will be disseminated very soon via this newsletter, and on our website and social media channels.
